BUILDING STANDARDS FOR TESTING MEDICINAL PLANTS FRUIT ROSA LAEVIGATA MICHX. (ROSACEAE)

Abstract:
Establishment of standards for testing pharmaceutical ingredients helps standard owners have
grounds to test input materials and publish quality output of products. Rosa laevigata Michx. is a
medicinal herb that has long been used in traditional medicine for healing, with a large natural
distribution area in Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province. The research was carried out with
the objective of: Proposing quality criteria, testing methods and determining the quality level for
each criterion of testing medicinal anhydride. The sample was collected in Trung Khanh district,
Cao Bang province and processed according to the traditional method. By the method prescribed
in the Vietnam Standard IV and the method of studying the micro-characteristics, chemical
composition of medicinal plants, we have developed the basic criteria of Rosa laevigata Michx.
with 7 standards main volume. In particular, there are 05 indicators with the quality level
equivalent to Vietnamese standard IV, the content of ethanol extracts in the material and the
characteristics of micro-powder of pharmaceutical powder proposed by the establishment also give
clear results.
