HE ANALGESIA EFFICIENCY OF QUADRATUS LUMBORUM BLOCK SINGLE SHOT FOR AFTER CAESAREAN SECTION UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF ULTRASOUND
Overview
Abstract:
Objectives: to evaluate the effectiveness and
some side effects of analgesia after cesarean
section with single shot levobupivacaine QL
block.
Materials and methods: Descriptive,
prospective study on 60 patients, aged 18-40,
ASA II, III, under spinal anesthesia for cesarean
section. After surgery, when the patient has VAS
score ≥ 4, the QL block was performed on both
sides, after that patients were monitored for 24
hours. VAS score, time of onset, the duration of
action, amount of paracetamol, patient
satisfaction and some side effects were recorded.
Results: VAS score at all time studied
during 24 hours were less than 4, time of onset
11,95 ± 3,69 hours, the rate of patient very
satisfaction and satisfaction is very high (63%
and 27%, respectively). Side effects were leg
numbness (6.6%), itching (3,3%).
Conclusion: Postoperative analgesia with
quadratus lumborum block under the guidance of
ultrasound is a safe and effective method, the
side effect was rare.
