PATIENT SATISFACTION WITH NURSING CARE AT HOA AN DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER, CAO BANG PROVINCE

Abstract:
Objective: To measure patients’ satisfaction with nursing care at Hoa An District Health Center in Cao Bang province. Methods: From September 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 96 patients being treated at the health center of Hoa An district, Cao Bang province. Results: 87.5% of the patients expressed satisfaction with the nurses’ attitudes towards them during interactions. The percentage of patients satisfied with the nurses’ introduction of rules and instructions on hygiene and daily diet reached 90.6%; it was 91.6% for the nurses’ disclosure of drug information to patients. 77.1% of the patients were satisfied with the communication and medical attention provided by the nurses. The nurses’ explanations and encouragement throughout nursing procedures were well-liked by 79.2% of the patients. Recommendation: It is advisable to give more emphasis on improving the interpersonal skills of the nursing staff when they provide nursing care.
