Overview

Abstract:

Study on the morphology and plant anatomy of the medicinal plant

Ligustrum sinense Lour. collected in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam

Ligustrum sinense Lour. of the genus Ligustrum L. family (Oleaceae). In the world, genus Ligustrum has about 45 species distributed in Asia, Australia and Europe. In Vietnam, genus Ligustrum L. has 5 species, widely distributed in the North, Central and South, but mainly in the North. The species L. sinense Lour.. In some regions in Vietnam, this species is also known as Pac lu tree, mouth ulcers, and canker sores. The L. sinense species is distributed in Taiwan, China. In Vietnam in the provinces of Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Kon Tum. In folk medicine L. sinense is used to treat the symptoms of mouth ulcers.
In the world there are also a number of studies on antioxidant activity in vitro, cell protection. The research results also show that L. sinense could be a potential new source of raw materials for the preparation of functional foods and nutritional products for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Based on the study of the morphology and plant anatomy of medicinal plants, we identified samples of L. sinense collected in Thai Nguyen, with the local names called "canker sores", "mouth ulcers". In this paper we present the results of research on plant morphology, microsurgical characteristics, powder characteristics of  L. sinense species, as a basis for the study of chemical composition and some effects. biology of plants.
