Abstract:
Gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal ulcers is a medical and surgical emergency that requires timely assessment and treatment to avoid serious consequences, especially in cases of severe gastrointestinal bleeding. The objective of this study is to describe the results of the first period of treatment of moderate and severe gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal ulcers with Adrenalin 1/10000 injection combined with clips at Bac Kan General Hospital. We studied 54 patients with moderate and severe gastrointestinal bleeding treated endoscopically with drenalin injection combined with clips at Bac Kan General Hospital during the period from August 2023 to August 2024. Using the cross-sectional descriptive method, the following results were obtained: Hemostasis results showed that 81.5% were successful and the remaining 18.5% were failures; There a close relationship between Forrest classification, number of ulcers, ulcer nature and initial hemostasis results (p<0.05; p<0.001).
