Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the results of
treatment of mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and holium laser at Phu Tho General Hospital,
from 2017 to 2019. Subjects and method:
A cross-sectional study of 44 patients who were operated on by mini - PCNL. Results: The average age of patients was
52.7 ± 12.6 ( Min 26, Max 83 years old). The rate of male patients was 59.1%
and female patients was 40.9%. There were 40/44 patients were poked create
tunnel once, 4 patients had to poke 2 times. There were a total of 53 stones,
of which 39 stones in which gravel size > 20 mm (73.6%). The rate of clean
stones after surgery was 65.9%, after
1-month was 75%. The average time for puncture of kidneys was 11.45 ± 2.44 (Min
8, Max 18 minutes), and the average time for percutaneous nephrolithotomy was
68.39 ± 23.67 (Min 43, Max 150 minutes). 2/44 patients with complications of
bleeding. The time of hospitalization after surgery was 10,7 (Min 7, Max 43
days). Conclusion: Mini - PCNL was a
minimally invasive, safe, effective
treatment for kidney stones that are > 2 cm2 in size and applicable to provincial hospitals.
