SOME FACTORS RELATED TO THE RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF PECOPD WITH PNEUMONIA AT THAI NGUYEN CENTRAL HOSPITAL

Abstract:
Objectives: To determine some factors related to
the treatment outcomes of patients with pECOPD at
Thai Nguyen Central Hospital in 2021. Subjects: 54
patients diagnosed with pECOPD were treated at the
Respiratory Department. Methods: cross-sectional
description. Results: Mean age: 71.75±9.64; Mostly
seen > 60 years old. More male than female. The rate
of having more than 2 episodes of exacerbation is
96.3%. Average BMI was 20.78±5.75; obesity 16.7%,
average 63.0%; skinny 20.4%. X ray: interstitial
lesions 42.9%, bronchial vapors 52.4%, opacities
100.0%. Patients who do not smoke/have quit: good
treatment results 18,5%/27,8%; are smoking 7,4 %.
pECOPD > 2 exacerbations/year, good treatment
results 44,4%. Good treatment results skinny BMI
7,5%; average 29,6%; obesity 12.9%. History of
using ICS: good treatment results 27,8%; not good
70,4%. pECOPD level GOLD C, GOLD D good
treatment 44,4%; 27,8%; not good 13,0%; 14,8%.
