THE RESULT OF THE MAXILARY MOLARS ENDODONTIC TREATMENT IN USE PROTAPER ULTIMATE ROTARY FILE AT THE SCHOOL OF DENTSTRY AND THE ODONTO-STOMATOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF HA NOI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Objectives: Evaluation of endodontic treatment results of maxillary molars using Protaper Ultimate rotary file. Subjects and Methods: This descriptive case series included 40 maxillary first and second molars diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis and apical periodontics patients were treated with nonsurgical endodontic procedures at the School of Dentistry and The Odonto-Stomatology department of Hanoi Medical University from 2024 to 2025.  A total of 122 root canals were instrumented using the Protaper Ultimate (PTU) rotary file system. Results: The final shaping file used was PTU F1 in 9% of canals, PTU F2 in 76.2%, and PTU F3 in 14.8%. The average root canal shaping time were 21.7 ± 3.0 mins. No complications occurred during root canal preparation. The radiographic results after root canal filling and clinical results after 1 week were both good at 90% and 95%, respectively. There were no cases of poor clinical and radiographic results. Conclusion: The Protaper Ultimate rotary file system proved to be a safe and effective tool for root canal preparation in maxillary molars, demonstrating high initial success rates with no observed procedural complications.
