COURSE NAME: BASIC ONCOLOGY

Objectives

Knowledge:

• Supply, improve and update knowledge for general practitioners working in medical facilities related to cancer diagnosis and treatment.

• After finishing the course, students can apply the learned knowledge of pathology, clinical and subclinical symptoms in diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment monitoring, prognosis and prevention of some common cancers.

Skills:

• Make a diagnosis and treatment of some common cancers.

• Take Care of patients in the late stage of cancer.

• Screen to detect some common cancers in the early stage.

• Be proficient with some specialized techniques: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy.

• Identify cases for referral

Attitude:

• Be aware of the importance of prevention and control of a number of cancers in the people's health care and protection system.

• Understand, share, and psychological support for cancer patients / relatives.
